This positively does not happen when the TD is unplugged. This of course not only produces annoying noise but reduces the lifespan of any affected internal components. Most other tasks produce around 70C (158F) and 4000 rpm. This happens every time I watch a video and gets worse if I do so on full-screen mode. I was quite happy with the overall performance until I noticed that the only fan in the laptop started running at overly high speeds (over 6000 rpm) to cool off temperatures surpassing 90C (194F) on the temperature diode/CPU die. I do believe it's a Macbook Pro 7,1 (not sure haven't been around that place in a while), but ANYWAY i have dual booted windows 7 on it and it overheats, and sometimes my graphics drivers stop responding on windows, it also overheats on my mac side as well just takes maybe like 5. I recently purchased a Thunderbolt Display to use with my Late 2011 MacBook Pro 13-inch. Hello, I have a mid 2010 Macbook Pro 15' the 2.4ghz i5, 8GB Ram and recently a ssd upgrade because i broke my HDD.
